HOW WE HELP

Our Services

Every garden starts with a conversation. Whether you want someone to build it for you, a plan you can execute yourself, or a guide to walk alongside you through every season — there is a place for you here. Every engagement begins with a free 15-minute discovery call.

01

WHERE EVERY GREAT GARDEN BEGINS.

The Garden Visit

Before we plant a single seed, we come to you. The Garden Visit is an in-person consultation at your property — a chance to walk your space together, understand what your family is hoping for, and lay the groundwork for a garden that actually works for your life. Stacey will assess your sunlight, soil, and space, and listen to your goals, your schedule, and your family's tastes. You will leave with a written recap that includes a summary of your goals, an honest assessment of your space, and a high-level design overview. This is a complete deliverable — not a sales pitch for the next step.

The Garden Visit is the starting point for every Sweet Hickory engagement. It ensures that everything we build together is grounded in the reality of your specific space and family.

What’s Included

In-person site visit at your property (approx. 60–90 min)

Sunlight, soil, drainage, and space assessment

High-level design overview: recommended bed count and placement

Written recap: your goals and space summary

Clear next steps — whatever path you choose

02

A CUSTOM PLAN, BUILT FOR YOUR SPACE AND YOUR FAMILY.

Your Garden Design

Your Garden Design takes everything we learned during The Garden Visit and turns it into a detailed, custom plan — precise enough to build from, personal enough to feel like yours. This is the plan you can hand to an installer, work through with your family on a Saturday morning, or keep on your kitchen counter as your growing guide for the year. Every variety is chosen for your climate, your soil, and your family's table. It is designed to be used — not just admired.

Your Garden Design requires The Garden Visit as the prerequisite. We cannot design well what we have not seen.

Variety recommendations tailored to your family's tastes

EVERYTHING YOU NEED. NOTHING YOU DON'T.

Do-It-Yourself Garden

There is real satisfaction in building something with your own hands. The Do-It-Yourself Garden gives you a professional design, a complete materials list, a full planting plan, and the confidence that comes from knowing exactly what you are doing before you start. You take it to the hardware store, the nursery, or the lumber yard, and you build it yourself — on your schedule, at your pace, with your family. It is also a meaningful gift: if you know someone who has been talking about starting a garden, this package gives them everything they need to actually do it.

The Do-It-Yourself Garden is also a wonderful gift — for a friend, a daughter, a new homeowner, or anyone who has been dreaming of a garden.

A GUIDE FOR EVERY SEASON.

Grow With Me Coaching

A garden is not a project you finish — it is something you tend. The hardest part of gardening is not the building. It is the keeping going. Grow With Me Coaching is ongoing, seasonal support from Stacey: someone who knows your garden, knows your family, and is genuinely invested in helping you succeed. She will help you build the kind of gardening confidence that does not come from reading about it — it comes from doing it, season after season, with someone in your corner.

Stacey takes on a limited number of coaching clients each season to ensure every client receives her full attention. Reach out early to reserve your spot.

What’s Included

Seasonal planning sessions (what to plant, when, and how much)

Regular check-ins by phone, video, or in-person visit

Harvest guidance — when to pick, how to store, what to do with abundance

Transition planning — moving from one season to the next

Year-end review and planning session for the following year

Priority email and text access to Stacey between sessions

Completely Personal

No two families eat the same things, and no two yards are the same. Every plan, every installation, every coaching visit is tailored specifically to your space, your family, and your goals.

Built for Real Life

Raised beds are the most practical way for a busy family to grow real food. Controlled soil, efficient watering, vertical growing — designed to fit real life, not an idealized version of it.

Organic, Always

We use only organic soil amendments, non-GMO seeds, and natural pest management. Your garden will be safe for your children, your pets, and the world around it.

Rooted in Walton County

Stacey grows right here in Northeast Georgia. She knows the microclimates, the pests, the best local plant sources. Every recommendation comes from real, local, lived experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a large yard to have a kitchen garden?

Not at all. We design raised bed gardens for all sizes — from a single 4×8 bed on a small patio to a full backyard installation. During your Garden Visit, we will assess your space and design something that fits perfectly.

What if I've tried before and everything died?

You are not alone — and it is almost never the gardener's fault. Most failures come down to poor soil, wrong timing, or no support after planting. Raised beds solve the soil problem, Stacey's plans solve the timing problem, and the coaching program solves the support problem. We set you up to succeed.

What if I've never gardened before?

What areas do you serve?

COMMON QUESTIONS

That is exactly who we love to work with. Our entire process is designed to make gardening accessible and enjoyable for beginners. The Grow With Me Coaching program is especially valuable for first-time gardeners who want ongoing support and someone to call when they are not sure what to do.

Can I do just the Garden Visit without committing to anything else?

Absolutely. The Garden Visit is a complete service in itself — you will leave with a written recap and design overview that is yours to keep and use however you choose. Many clients start there and decide on next steps at their own pace.

Do I need to be home during the installation?

We ask that you are available at the start and end of installation day — for a quick walkthrough at the beginning and a full orientation at the end. You do not need to be present the entire time.

Can I give a Sweet Hickory service as a gift?

Yes, and it makes a wonderful one. Gift certificates are available for The Garden Visit, Your Garden Design, and the Do-It-Yourself Garden package. Contact us to arrange a gift certificate for someone you love.

Sweet Hickory Garden Co. serves Walton County, Georgia and the surrounding communities of Northeast Georgia, including Monroe, Social Circle, Loganville, Covington, Winder, and the greater Athens corridor. Not sure if we come to you? Just ask.
